The Three Peaks Challenge
The staff of William Martin Schools and the family of Ruby Trussler will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge:
William Martin Schools are raising money for the UK Sepsis Trust in memory of Ruby Trussler. After the devastating and sudden loss of our beautiful Ruby on 11th October 2024 at just 6 years old, who contracted sepsis while in the PICU at Addenbrookes Hospital. Ruby was a kind, happy and brilliant little girl who is so very missed.
On the 24th May, Ruby’s Mum and Dad, Emma and Dean Trussler, sister Ellie Falconer and her boyfriend Louis Welsh and some of our staff members, Gina Bailey, Ben Collin, Jemma Stevens, Molly Campbell, Natasha Simpson, Sophie Cannell, Tammy Howard, Kim Horsely, Andrea Wood, along with Gina’s son Joe who is very kindly making sure we don’t get lost and Jim Collin who has given up his time to drive us all the way, will be taking on the 24 Hour 3 Peak Challenge! This involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. We are very grateful To Passmores Academy in Harlow who have kindly donated us the use of their minibus.

The Three Peaks Week
During the week of the Three Peaks Challenge, children will be learning geographical facts about Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon and the surrounding areas, alongside holding a fundraising week, where children and staff will be walking the same distance of the three peaks throughout the week.
Thank you so much to the children of St Andrew’s Primary School, Great Yeldham for holding a cake sale and raising £150 for Sepsis UK!
